Day 16 (Inverting Differentiator Lab)

We started the day by discussing a new type of circuit using a capacitor and an op amp, called an integrator. It has a capacitor parallel to a feedback resistor in an inverting amplifier and we went through the derivation of the output voltage

Then we graphed a few examples of what the integrator would do on some input voltages

Then we did an example of an integrator circuit.

We then started the Differentiator Lab and the pre-lab. Here are pictures of the pre-lab where we found the gain of the circuit.

Here are pictures of the circuit we built.

Here are pictures of the results of the output voltage versus the input voltage on the scope.

Here are numerical comparissons of the output voltages versus the input voltages

We then did an example of a step function with a capacitor.

We then did an example of a step function but with a more complex circuit that has a voltage source.

We did one final example with an even more complex circuit.
