Day 17 (Series RLC Circuit Response Lab)

We started the day by doing an example of finding boundary values on a circuit.

Then we went through the derivation of what the solutions for alpha and omega would be in a source free RLC circuit.

We then did an example with an RLC circuit and found alpha, omega, the dampening ratio.

We then moved on to the Series RLC Circuit Step Response Lab. Here are pictures of the pre-lab.

Here are pictures of the circuit we built.

Here are pictures of the oscilliscope that measured the source voltage versus the voltage across the capacitor.

We ended the day by doing a parallel RLC circuit and found the solutions for aplha and omega for that kind of circuit.
